Book 1: Purithenes

A Note on Writing Style:

Since this story is a recording of the events that transpire during a live pencil-and-paper-and-dice gaming session, it would be rather time consuming and difficult to provide an exact transcript of the conversations that are had between the characters in the story, and the actions they perform.  Instead what I do is take copious notes (though sometimes my note taking is far better than others!) and attempt to piece together what happened later so i can write it down in a meaningful way.  This will invariably lead to periods where there obviously would be an important dialog happening in the story, but I don't have a record of what is said.  In those cases, rather than put words in the mouths of my players, I will simply describe the conversation in an abstract sense, such as "Purithenes speaks on behalf of his friend before the Ecclesia". While not quite as interesting to read, i hope that this provides a much more cohesive narrative.  Also, "DM Notes" will sometimes be included inside square brackets ([ ]), and can help provide more information than what "fits" in the story being told, or cite a reference material for further reading.
